How long do Spray Tans Last?

A well cared for tan will last 5-7days BEFORE you notice fading. You will still see a tan line for beyond that timeline. The life of your fan HIGHLY depends on your prep and aftercare. To extend your tan to up to 2weeks or more, without considerable fading, consider purchasing my Tan Extender Lotion. I can help you choose which after-care products are best for your needs.

What does an appointment look like?

First we double check what kind of color you are wanting to achieve. Next, you will get ready while I pour your special blend of solution. You will apply any protective disposables you wish to use. We will spritz you will a ph balancing spray and apply barrier cream to your palms of hands and soles of feet. Your spray tan begins. Once we are finished, I powder your entire body to reduce any stickiness and set your tan. Then we wipe palms and feet and done! The entire process takes about 30ish minutes. Sometimes the first appointment can take 10 minutes extra while we go over your client questionnaire.

Where are you located exactly?

I am in Pleasanton. You will receive my location on the day of your appointment. I am not a brick and mortar location. I will give you a general nearby location to map in the mean time when you make your appointment. This protects me. Period.

Am I using the same dirty brushes or towels someone before me used?

Absolutely not!! (That’s gross.) Everything is sprayed, disinfected, and sanitized after each client. You receive clean towels and brushes every appointment! I do also Sell brushes if you’d like to purchase your own for your appointments.

What is a Classic or Rapid tan?

The classic tan will need to be left on for 8hrs minimum, or can be slept in. The rapid tan allows you to rinse off in 1-4 hrs, depending on darkness wanted. You are not able to get wet AT ALL before your initial rinse (this includes sweating), so take this info and appointment time into consideration when deciding. Yes, the bronzer that sits on your skin while waiting to shower, giving you that instant satisfaction, can rub off on babies/children, giving baby a tan - I always recommend rapids for mamas! Both take 24hrs to fully develop to it’s prime color and both result in the same gorgeous color in the end. The difference is your rinse time.

Will I be Orange?

No. Spray tan solutions have a come a long way, and I don’t use something you can go buy off your local drug store shelf. My solutions are professional-top grade and my training and knowledge produce true brown tans.

Do I need to Prep for my tan?

Yes! It is important to use tan safe soaps and lotions before and after your tan. Gently exfoliating 24 hrs before your tan is a must as well. This includes shaving. Any waxing, pedicures, manicures, etc should be done 48hrs in advance and lotions/etc washed completely off.

Showers should be 4+hrs before your tan and absolutely no less than 1hr - if one hr before, make it luke warm and fast!

My welcome email goes further into depth for you about how to prep.

Can I tan if I’m pregnant?

Yes. However, we make sure to cover all mucous membranes and I always urge you to speak to your health provider first.

Can I tan if I’m breastfeeding?

Yes. We make sure the breasts are covered and not tanned where baby’s mouth can touch.

I’m a minor. Can I tan?

Yes. Your parent or guardian will have to sign a consent waiver.

What do I wear to tan in?

Whatever you feel most comfortable in. I’ve had women wear tank tops and underwear, swim suits, to completely nude. Consider any unwanted tan lines for outfits you may wear.

My only rule is with minors: I require underwear of some sort and nipples/areolas to be completely covered for females.

What do I wear to my appointment?

Loose, dark clothing is highly recommended. Loose sandals/flip flops are good shoes - or walking out barefoot is even better. I cannot let you walk out in tight leggings or jeans for example. You will streak and ruin your tan. No socks, boots, or tennis shoes. NOTHING TIGHT!! This includes bras. If you tan in a bra, leave it on if you’d like. If you tan topless, expect to possibly mess up your tan if you put it back on.

What if it’s raining?

Home Salon: Your appointment will remain active. You are responsible for bringing an umbrella and loose, long clothing (hoodie, long sleeve shirt, loose cotton lounge pants, etc.), and loose fitting shoes, etc. to cover your body. If you have very loose fitting fuzzy socks, those work great for hands or in place of shoes until you get in the car (since we don’t tan the bottom of your feet anyways).

Mobile: I will still make it to Mobile appointments, unless weather is by my discretion, severe. Then you will be contacted for further options.

Can I use a discount code with a Deal/Package Tan?

Mostly Yes. You can use ONE discount code at a time per tan.

Can I double stack Deal Packages?

No. Please pick one deal you’d like to use. For further clarification, please feel free to ask!

Is spray tanning safe?

Yes. Spray tanning is FDA approved when mucous membranes are covered/protected. It’s a sunless/UV-Ray FREE tan. It does not soak into the deeper layers of our skin... it merely sits on the top layer consisting mostly of dead skin cells.

If you have any specific concerns, it is your responsibility to consult with your doctor prior to your tan.

How can I remove my spray tan when it starts to fade?

A spray tan can be removed in as little as 3-5 minutes with X-TAN Remover. It’s as simple as spraying on, letting it sit for 3-5mins, and wiping off in the bath or shower. (Bonus: it also works as a skin prepper for exfoliating before your spray tan.)

Does my spray tan protect me from the sun?

No. You still need SPF! I prefer Sun Bum Lotion or Babyganics Lotion with spray tans. Avoid aerosol SPFs and ones than are oil based.

Can I get in chlorine water or salt water with my tan?

Yes. However, I strongly urge you to consider purchasing my Tan Extender Lotion or Gradual Tanning Lotion to extend the life of your tan since both of these can fade it faster. I can help you choose which is best for your needs.

How much does it cost?

Please see my Prices tab under the menu bar. I also have a Packages and Deals tab for options to save some money.

Do you offer a Bridal Package?

Please see the Packages and Deals Tab.

What if I don’t want to be super dark?

Perfect. I offer all ranges of color. Light glow, medium, dark, and ultra dark.

Do you offer memberships?

Not at this time.

What about tanning with a sunburn?

Sunburns are skin damage. Please do not get a spray tan within 2 weeks of being sunburned. Your skin will peel, taking the tan with it - results are not pretty. 2 weeks or more after a sunburn, tan at your own discretion, but know depending on your own skin and skin care, results may vary.
